Introducing Jim Jams

Based right out of City Dogs Daycare in Wellington, Jim Jams is run by a tight-knit team of three young business owners with a massive love for dogs.

  • Anna

With a deep passion for animals and a knack for picking up hands-on hobbies - Anna is the creative brains behind Jim Jams. Her incredible attention to detail and love for crafting means that every single pair of pyjamas is thoughtfully designed and expertly stitched.

  • Harry

Harry has been around dogs his whole life, but his true playground is the digital world. With around a decade of experience in branding, web design, social media, and graphic design, he’s the strategist behind Jim Jams' look and digital presence.

  • Brooke

From an early age, Brooke developed a passion for filmmaking and capturing moments on camera. Whether it's filming daily daycare antics or directing our photoshoots, Brooke is making sure our community gets a front-row seat to everything Jim Jams.

Jim Jams idea was born

Anna and Harry adopted Jiminy Cricket, and he looked like he needed some pyjamas! Anna wanted to try her hand at stitching dog jumpers, and since Harry and Anna were experienced graphic designers, they naturally started dreaming up a brand for these homemade dog jammies. That’s when the name Jim Jams popped up, and our logo was born.

City Dogs Daycare opens

Harry, Anna, and Brooke banded together to start City Dogs, a boutique daycare for small to medium dogs based in Wellington, New Zealand. We saw a major gap in the market for a lower capacity daycare - one with more staff and fewer dogs to ensure a higher quality of care. Our unique approach resonated with local pet parents, and over the next year, City Dogs grew so quickly that we had to open a waitlist for new daycare spots.

Jim Jams becomes a reality

While City Dogs operated entirely on the top floor, the downstairs area sat unused for over a year. Instead of expanding the daycare to take on more dogs and compromise our small-group philosophy, we chose a different kind of growth. We decided to renovate the downstairs space and transform it into the official headquarters for Jim Jams - giving us the perfect dedicated workshop to bring our dog clothing brand to life right beneath the daycare.
